Wales is a country full of hills and winding roads that are great for a motorcycle outing. While there are a large number of roads to choose from, the top 10 are listed below by region. As with any road trip make sure you have the essentials to hand, not forgetting your breakdown cover number, motorcycle insurance policy, spares, enough money, etc. Above all have fun!

Capel-Curig- Llanrug -Caernarfon
This road leads off the A5 and runs about 18 miles. The road can be a bit rough in spots. The route starts out from the mountains with beautiful scenery, leads into the town of Llanrug which has gorgeous architecture and end at Caernarfon overlooking a river valley. As you approach the end, you may encounter some RAF jets out on flights from the RAF Valley below.
Bala to Trawsfynydd
The roadway runs 17.4 miles off the A494. This road has wide, sweeping turns and great scenery. The route has a reputation for bikers letting go at 90 mph even around the one hairpin turn. As such, the police are often out in force. Locals recommend riding the road sedately one way to check on the police, and if not there, letting it go on the way back. The gas station in Trawsfynydd takes only cash and is run by a grumpy guy who doesn't really like bikers.
